the moment we pulled up into the driveway of our new home, this little family of deer was waiting in our yard (also known as dirt/a little grass)to greet us. at first i thought they had been planted a la funny farm, but no, they and dozens of others just roam our neighborhood all day. good stuff.
i was a little worried devo would chase after them, but he just comes outside with is usual if-i-didn't-know-better-i'd-swear-that-dog-smoked-pot demeanor, not giving the deer 10 feet in front of him a second glance.
hutch and elsa, on the other hand, are much more impressed by their 'neighbors.'

How beautiful. I miss the dear and rabbits we had in our yard in Indiana. It sets such a peaceful tone you know? At our father in laws land he always takes the grandkids to feed his deer. Seems like it would be a good job for Hutch.
Pretty neat. Beats our skinks and toads.
