GetTinG ThERE

eating with a fork,
manners,
and discipline in general
have become quite the marathon process.
the latest retaliation:
anytime i tell hutch
"no" or "that's a stop" (props to rebecca coors for that one),
one of two things happen ad nauseum.
1. giggles and mimicking the action i asked him to cease (i.e. giving food to the dogs or heading up the stairs without permission)
2. crying fits

reaction number one should let all know hutch truly is his father's son

tHe nAtIOn'S CApitaL

while alex was working away at a conference in dc,
hutch and i went to play.
we all made a trip to the zoo with our friend dougo,
did a lot of walking,
and a lot of pool time.
and eating. lots of that, too.

my folks came in town
after i got back from denver.
we all had a great time,
and hutch had a great time reaping the benefits.
lots of love,
trips to the park,
and a much coveted dump truck
to match his catepillar digger.

went for a quick trip
to denver two weeks ago
to meet the yummy adelynd hayes.
she did not disappoint.
the strapping young fella with
the new babe is our friend hayes.
he and his parents greg and liz
were kind enough to
take me in during my trip.
all in all,
the time never seems long enough,
but it was lovely to get to see the great friends i did.
