great. nothing gets by this kid. and he's right.

calamity jane

our dear friend heather,
creator of bebe and alice,
sent elsa this adorable cowgirl pinafore to
celebrate our move west to montana
as well as my texas roots.
she made cute pants and a hat for hutch,
but he wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot today.
anyetsy, heather creates beautiful clothes, aprons, scarves, bags, you
name it, out of recycled fabric, thus renewing its purpose in fashionable ways.
today, elsa rocked the cowgirl look which was finished perfectly with her
wranglers denim diaper cover.
go now, people, to the bebe and alice etsy shop.
you can thank me later.

haPPy boY and Girl

busy, busy, busy,
we feel very busy right now.
our trip to missoula was divine,
and there are ample pics of hutch throwing rocks in the river to prove it
as well as lovely scenic views.
one day soon i'll get 'em on here i hope.
but for now, the kiddos:

home sweet home

we just got back last night
from a house-hunting/mini-vacation in missoula,
and the for sale sign was finally up at our home.
that's a bittersweet feeling,
made ever more so by hutch's content exclamation of
'HOME...our house' when we pulled in the driveway.
it has been a cozy abode for our kids
to grow up in thus far,
filled to the brim with a lot of sweat equity.
i sure will miss our little cape cod.

my nephew

so, almost two weeks later,
here is a picture of the handsome chase london,
son to my brother in law, chris, and his lovely wife tammi.
isn't he a looker? i can't tell you how happy his hair makes me.
sure can't wait to meet sweet chase in june, we all feel very blessed by his arrival.

SERIOus bedHEAd

we have yet to move elsa into
the room with hutch,
so she continues to sleep
in our room in a pack & play
(trotters...you have no idea how helpful this gift has been over the past 2+ years).
she is a hard sleeper as a result,
but every couple of weeks she wakes up as we (and devo) come in for the night.
glad she woke up this night, as she was rockin' a pretty sweet lid.
she looks like the zeds in that dr. seuss book.
