sInCE it'S ALreaDY bEInG tOLd...
i'm just gonna put it out there.
it's already been incorporated into too many
of alex's phone conversations.
at hutch's one year checkup, the nurse
took her usual stats of hutch before the doctor
came in.
since we take hutch
to an academic hopspital,
a resident or fellow (very grey's anatomy)
usually checks hutch before our pediatrician comes in.
the fellow arrives
and announces hutch's weight/height is in the 50th percentile,
a huge leap for the little guy,
but that his head is in the 90th, and there are concerns about
head swelling, bleeding. etc.
my mind is escalating from 'everything's great' to'emergency surgery',
when our saintly pediatrician walks in,
halo and wings intact.
he listens to the fellow and suggests measuring alex's and my heads
to see where they fall on the chart.
turns out alex's is normal,
and mine is not so normal. in fact, it's off the charts it's so big.
i never knew i was so disproportionate!
so, if you're wondering,
hutch gets it from me.
it's cool, though,
we bobbleheads stick together.
